I \u00a0enjoyed writing this \u00a0\u2013 \u00a0light-hearted, it involves all the classic elements of comedy: life on the high seas, some rampant snobbery and even a marriage at the end. \u00a0And I got to see a lot of intriguing places.<\/p>\n

For those who haven\u2019t come across Kindle Singles<\/strong> before, it\u2019s an interesting Amazon initiative.\u00a0 Kindle have commissioned established figures like Stephen King, Jon Krakauer and Amy Tan to write shorter, novella-length books and put them in a special branded part of the store, so readers know they\u2019re getting something that\u2019s met a quality control threshold \u2013 unlike\u00a0the self-published parts of Kindle.\u00a0 A development which may get traditional publishers very worried…<\/p>\n
